a Beaufort Street experience

A little nervous about the lack of time for my setup at the Beaufort Street Art Festival, but mostly excited ... I made my debut into the world of public art I guess. It was such a fantastic day.

An 8.30 start (with a little help from my friends Fi + Fleur), in the theme of the Laundromat across the road from my setup, I had my little bit of street decked out with clothes lines, pegs, socks + undies and a small selection of samples from the real Lifelines encounters ...It was only at about 2pm I realised I hadn’t even taken a sip of water since getting there ... adrenaline was keeping me buzzing ... and I couldn’t let go of the momentum till I finally started to feel dizzy ... and my lunch-break saviours arrived.

By around 7pm I completed 31 portraits ... and gained 6 masterpieces of me for my collection.

One of the portraits I did towards the end of the day, Lexy Scott, was to offer me my next appointment ... The opening of the Artillery Festival (Amnisty International) later in the week.
